Administrator Volunteer
Tasks and Responsibilities
- To assist with administration for Cool to be Kind working closely with a nominated director to review policies and the governance documents of Cool to be Kind
- To manage some of the areas for the online shared drive for Cool to be Kind, in particular the policies and risk assessments.
- To assist with research in all areas of Cool to be Kind projects and initiatives
- To manage the Directors/Trustee diary, and meetings and will be responsible for agendas and minutes circulation to members
Education and experience
- Proficient understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word);
- Have key skills and experience in administration.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.

Other requirements
You will need your own computer/laptop with internet access; A voluntary commitment to attending a Cool to be Kind monthly meeting (evening, approx. 2-2.5 hours in length) is requested. Attendance to this meeting is not mandatory, however, the meeting is to update and share developments and progress of Cool to be Kind with other members of the Cool to be Kind team.
Commitment Length of appointment
We are looking for individual/s to initially consider a six-month commitment to this role with the intention of the role being extended.
Hours
We are hoping that you will be able to commit to anything between 4-6 hours per week. But this may vary depending on projects and events and what work is required to be completed at that given point. We ask that you take responsibility for managing your time to ensure all tasks are completed for that week. Working flexibly is great so long as, where possible if we have a deadline that you can help us hit it.

Location
Remote, but being based in (or near) Chelmsford is preferred.
Probationary Period
The successful candidate will have a one-month probationary period, this is to ensure that it’s the right fit for both you and us.
Throughout the first month, we will have regular check-ins to discuss how you are doing, to offer/receive feedback and to provide any support needed.
