The Rucksack Project returns for 2023
We’re thrilled to announce that The Rucksack Project is back, and we’re reaching out to our wonderful community for your continued support.
Ever since its inception in 2015, thanks to the efforts of Cool to be Kind, this project has epitomised the spirit of unity and compassion within our community.
Year after year, we’ve been overwhelmed by the love shown by everyone—organisations, families, and individuals—each coming forward to donate rucksacks brimming with warmth and hope.
Our journey over the years has been both humbling and inspiring. Heartfelt comments from our recipients, like “I can’t believe so many people want to help us,” have only strengthened our resolve and commitment to this cause.
So, how can you be a part of this beautiful journey with us this year?
It’s quite simple:
- Contribute a Rucksack: Ensure it has two straps.
- Fill with Care: Add warm clothes and a sleeping bag. Whether it’s apparel you’ve outgrown or items you’ve found at a local charity shop, every bit counts.
For specifics on the items that would be most beneficial visit: the Rucksack Progect.
When you’re ready to drop off your packed rucksack, we’ll be waiting with open arms on Sundays between 11:30am and 12:30pm at Chelmsford Quaker Meeting House, Rainsford Road, Chelmsford, CM1 2QL.
Your generosity has the power to make a real difference.
