Cool to be Kind granted Charity Status

We are thrilled to announce that we have officially become a registered charity.

This status marks an important milestone, enabling us to extend our reach and build stronger partnerships to support rough sleepers and vulnerable individuals across Chelmsford.

From day one, we have focused on practical support, providing outreach, essential supplies, and links to local services.

Charity status now gives us the tools to expand this work, helping more people move from the streets into safer, stable lives.

“Becoming a charity allows us to deepen our impact here in Chelmsford,” said Dan Skeates, Co-founder and Chair of C2BK.

“With new opportunities to partner and develop our services, we’re focused on giving Chelmsford’s rough sleepers the consistent support they deserve.”

This achievement reflects the ongoing support of Cool to be Kind’s dedicated volunteers and the Chelmsford community.

With this foundation, we’re excited to grow our impact and invite anyone interested to join us—whether through volunteering, partnership, or support.
