Between 16th – 23rd March, ten supporters of Chelmsford City will be walking in relay (five will do one leg, and five the other, each day) the 270 miles between Chelmsford and Torquay. They will leave after their match with Weston Super-Mare on the 16th, and arrive in time for their away fixture with Truro City on the 23rd (the fixture was originally scheduled to be held in Torquay, but thankfully Truro have returned to their home in Cornwall, so our walkers will travel to the match by mini-bus).
Funds will be raised for three causes.
- Cool 2B Kind: A Chelmsford based community project helping homeless people in the city. Each winter it runs the Rucksack Project. https://www.c2bk.co.uk/
- City of Chelmsford Mencap: An independent local charity providing services for people with a learning disability across mid-Essex, ensuring they receive care and support to live life to the full. http://www.cityofchelmsfordmencap.org.uk/
- Chelmsford City FC Supporters Club. https://chelmsfordcitysc.co.uk/
